HELLO!

I'm Fatima - so happy to see you here!

I'm a UK-based mother of squidgily cute and boisterous two children, yarn-craft enthusiast, obsessed with all things books and most importantly... I'm a serial blogger.

I can't help it. I can't stop starting blogs. Someone call 'My Crazy Addictions'.

In fact, I'm so obsessed with blogging I wrote a whole book about it!

But... it's not one of those strange addictions that serves no benefit.

Quite the opposite, actually.

Story time!

I started my first blog in 2014. A health and fitness blog, spurred on by my at-the-time-3000 followers on Instagram (that was A BIG DEAL in 2014 OKAYYYY). It got lost somewhere on the interwebs eventually, but it did introduced me to The World Of Making Money Online.

I was cooped up in my tiny one-bed flat in East London the following year when I started my second blog, Fatima Cooks. And this time, I had a plan.

It went something like - 'I don't want to work after I have kids - I want to stay at home with them. But I don't want to sacrifice any money for it'. It was ambitious (and very long-term) thinking from a 21-year old who didn't even know how much money you need to run a house.

Fatima Cooks eventually grew into a lot more than I had ever imagined it would be. From beginning to show up on the first page of Google and starting to get millions of visits every year, having my recipes shared in magazines, blogs, websites and forums all around the world and out-earning any job I've had in the past, you could say that ambitious girl in 2014 had been onto something.

Since 2014, I've created and worked on a total of 6 blogs + websites in a number of different niches including children's education, fashion and food.

All that growth was INTENTIONAL, not ACCIDENTAL. They were all a result of careful studying, planning, strategising and implementing.

But what I've gained from blogging is a lot more than simply an income.

It's precious time I've been able to spend with my family.

It's being able to absolutely relish in these growing years of my two young children, and be there for everything I wanted to be a part of.

It's the freedom of having a full-time income coming in WITHOUT WORKING FULL-TIME HOURS (I work less hours in a week than I can count on my hands)

It's the peace of knowing I have a stable, consistent income coming in, whether I work or not.

It's in knowing I've achieved what I had to set out to do when I started that blog in 2015 - which was not having to choose between an income and being present for my children.

All those things are priceless.

Blogging and bringing in an income online eventually became an extension of me because of the impact it's had on my life. I am so tremendously passionate about women having autonomy and power over their finances, and so F. Nasim Blog felt like a natural shift in the right direction.

9 years in the industry have meant I've accumulated a lot of insider information, experience and know-how. And there's no joy for me in gate-keeping all that knowledge. I love seeing others win, especially women, because I KNOW it's just not a level playing field out there.

The adage used to go 'there's a book in everyone', but it's 2023 and I'd like to amend it into a more modern version - 'there's a blog in everyone'.

I hope this website helps push you towards getting that blog that's inside you out there. It'll be great, and I'm so excited for you! And if you'd like a deeper dive into things, I've written a book tailor-made for beginners who know they want to get into blogging but aren't quite sure how to!

With love,

Fatima x
